This session unpacks some of the approaches we have as humans towards making ourselves feel secure. From very straightforward examples of social inclusion and exclusion, the session moves into our priorities and agendas for decision-making.
It examines the variety of ways in which we seek to make ourselves secure, and compares
and contrasts these motivations with Jesus’ teaching in the Beatitudes. It opens discussion around human worth, and encourages an active response, both in the 2010 Election and in an ongoing way.
